Paws-Ability is a nonprofit organization that raises funds to assist local animal rescue groups and support our programs to improve animal welfare in Brunswick & New Hanover Counties in NC.

 

We enhance human-animal bond by providing emergency financial assistance, pet food, and spay/neuter services.

STELLAS TOUCH
 
Assisting Brunswick County residents with veterinary costs in cases of emergency, serious illness, or injury to their pets.
PAWS PANTRY
 
We provide pet food to 3 local food pantries and 2 Meals on Wheels programs to allow  families in need to properly and adequately feed and care for their pets.

COMMUNITY CATS / TNR

Providing spay/neuter and veterinary assistance to caregivers of community cats to help control the population of homeless cats in Brunswick County. 
RESCUE GROUP ASSISTANCE

We offer funding to local animal rescue groups around Brunswick County for unexpected extraordinary veterinary expenses.

ABOUT
PAWS-ABILITY

Paws-Ability is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization that raises funds to assist local rescue groups and support our programs to improve animal welfare in Brunswick and New Hanover Counties in North Carolina. Established in 2007 as a 501(c)(3), we have served our local area for over 17 years and have helped thousands of animals live better, healthier, lives. We are proud of the fact that we pay no salaries. Over 94% of the funds raised goes directly to the animals.

​Current Programs Are:

We partner with local animal rescue groups and our local shelter to help fund the extraordinary medical costs for their animals so they can be adopted into loving, forever homes.  In addition, we have programs to assist pet guardians in times of financial need when their pet becomes severely ill or injured.  A priority program is spay/neuter, a vital component of reducing the number of unwanted and unhoused animals.

Throughout the year we raise funds at BandFest, our annual Golf Tournament, and other events. You might even see us at local markets and festivals, where we have Paws-Ability t-shirts, hats, and other merchandise for sale, as well as literature on our organization and its programs.
